PASTORA SOLER - QUÉDATE CONMIGO

SELECTION FORMAT

RTVE returned to internal selection and choosed Pastora Soler to represent Spain at Eurovision 2012. Her song was chosen in a televised gala on March 3rd where she sang three songs. The winning entry was chosen with a combination of televoting and jury voting.

PASTORA SOLER

Pastora's career really began in 1994 when she released her first album "Nuestras coplas". Her next album was released two years later but her third album included the first hit "Dámelo ya". That album sold more than 120,000 copies in Spain. To date, she has released nine albums and one compilation album.

ABOUT THE SONG

Before the competing songs were published, Pastora told that she preferred ballad for Eurovision. Later she has told that she fell in love with 'Quédate Conmigo' when she first listened to it. This song wasn't included in her latest album, released in October, however she recently re-released the album with this song included. Title can be translated into English as "Stay with me".

MY PREDICTION

Amazing, Spain! This year Pastora deserves to be in the top five and for me, she is the winner. This is definitely my favorite of this year's entries and gets my vote in the final. My prediction; 5th-8th in the final.
