.
Hello Rona Nishliu and thank you very much for your precious time for this interview. Could you first tell us, who is Rona Nishliu?
.
First of all, thank you for this opportunity. I am a 25-year-old Albanian musician, born in Mitrovica. I am a passionate musician/singer who loves to experiment in jazz. I’ve started the music education when 8 years old, and studied for piano 6 years. I became known at talents show for singing in Tirana during 2004. Took part and was awarded in main festivals of the country. Humanitarian work and a dedicated activity to those in need, is something that interests me a lot. Currently, I’m an activist of the network of people with autism and one day I plan to open a charity club that will help people with autism. My favorite food is traditional dish “Tava with onion”.

You will represent Albania with your amazing song "Suus". Could you tell us something about it and open its message for us?
.
Thank you! The process of writing this song was very unique. After many discussions, the conclusion was that there should not be any boundaries that would limit the creative process. We let everything flow naturally, and yes this added a lot of value to the very final output. The lyrics refer to an emotional condition, while reflecting for the things that happened in the past and expectations of unsure tomorrows. Its my personal perception of this life’s absurdity.
Over the last few years Albanian representatives have translated their entries into English for Eurovision. What were the main reasons for keeping your song in Albanian and did you ever considered to perform it in English?
.
In my opinion, a song or a music piece will always sound truer and more powerful in its original version. This is the reason why the official version of Suus remains in Albanian. On the other hand, for me, music goes beyond languages, geographic borders, races and countries, and as such it represents a universal form of expression.
.

You are actually the first Kosovar singer to enter Eurovision Song Contest as a representative of Albania. How does that feel? Do you wish that Kosovo would some day enter the contest? (Read also: Kosovo wants to participate Eurovision - EBU's current regulations don't allow it)
.
I am honored to represent Albania. I’ve passed through numerous and colorful emotions, since the moment of the selection of Suus as a representative of Albania at Eurosong. This is the most important achievement in my music career so far and I’m enjoying myself. As far as Kosovo is considered, I wish Kosovo will have the right to enter the contest, in the near future.
What about the stage performance, will you be on the stage alone?
I will give my maximum for the best possible performance! I will announce details of the performance very soon, stay tuned at my fan page in facebook, www.facebook.com/ronanishliu.
.

Behalf of escwebs, I wish you all the best and good luck at Eurovision 2012! Finally, is there something you would like to tell to my readers?
