SELECTION FORMAT

Lithuania confirmed its participation in September and submissions were received until early January. 47 acts were accepted to compete at the semifinals but eventually only 36 singers attended. They were divided into four semifinals and three most voted qualified to the final from each semifinal. In addition, a few acts were chosen to the final although they didn't qualified from the semifinal. Donny Montell won both, the final and super-final and was chosen to represent Lithuania at Eurovision Song Contest 2012.

DONNY MONTELL

Donatas Montvydas aka Donny Montell is a 24-year-old Lithuanian singer/songwriter whose career started back in 2008. He has won the local Dancing With the Stars and participated in singing contests and festivals. He has also competed twice at the Lithuanian Eurovision preselection, in 2009 and 2011. His 2010 entry was disqualified.

MY PREDICTION

Beginning is interesting and expectations are high but unfortunately this whole thing fall flat and it is soon over. Even a perfect draw won't help this and unlike in 2011, we won't see Lithuania in the final. My prediction; 15th-17th in the semifinal
