ROMAN LOB - STANDING STILL

Text: Wayne Hector, Jamie Cullum, Steve Robson

Music: Wayne Hector, Jamie Cullum, Steve Robson

SELECTION FORMAT

Succesful selection format from 2010 was introduced again with some small changes. Auditions were held in Autumn and everybody could participate Unser Star Für Baku. 20 singers were choosed to compete in the televised shows where the qualifiers were chosen by audience. Eventually only two new talents, Roman Lob and Ornella de Santis were competing in the national final in February. They both had three songs in the final and Roman Lob won the final with his song "Standing Still".

ROMAN LOB

This 21-year-old pop singer from Düsseldorf participated German talent competiton, Deutschland sucht den Superstar in 2006 and actually reached the Top 20 but had to leave the race due to a vocal cord infection. Then, two years later he competed in the German pre-selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with his boy band. However, the song didn't reached the televised final. This year he won the talent competition and will represent Germany at the Eurovision 2012, in Baku.

MY PREDICTION

This cute and innocent-looking guy will definitely get votes from teen girls, and there's nothing wrong with that. His song is a radio hit and the song itself deserves to stay out of the bottom. My prediction; 10th-15th in the final, of course depending on the other entries competing in the final.

NOW IT'S YOUR TURN

If you can't wait to vote for Roman in May, you can do it already at www.12pointsgoesto.weebly.com.
