Every detail must be carefully planned and implemented when the thousands of Eurovision spectators and media representatives arrives to Baku, starting from next week.

Employees of Baku Metro and taxi drivers have taken English courses to serve the Eurovision tourists as smoothly as possible. Also security will be ensured at a high level during the contest, spokesperson of Baku Metro convinces. 500 new taxis were brought to Baku from London and they were renovated with necessary equipments.

To make transportation between hotels and the Crystal Hall easy for 42 delegations, each delegation will get their own buses as always. Organisers are investing in transportation, some 220 drivers have been hired to operate special shuttle buses between the airport, Baku city centre, hotels and the arena.

Hotels, restaurants, shops and other services are extending their capacity and the range of products and some restaurants have their own special Eurovision menu during the contest.

The Baku Crystal Hall, venue for the live Eurovision shows, is currently being prepared inside, the stage is expected to be ready for the first technical rehearsals in early next week and the first artists will get on the stage on Sunday, May 13th. Full rehearsal schedule can be found here.

Eurovision Song Contest is an important opportunity for Azerbaijan to show the world that they are able to host this big event and make Azerbaijan more known.

The two semi-finals will take place on May 22nd and 24th and the Grand Final on May 26th.
