The Swedish broadcaster company SVT starts the planning of next year's song contest, to be held somewhere in Sweden!

- Tomorrow morning we'll start working on Eurovision Song Contest 2013 and in May you'll see a fantastic show! It's an honour for SVT to host next year's contest, said Eva Hamilton to SVT news.

Sweden won Europe's favorite TV show for fifth time in its history, last time they won it in 1999 and hosted it in Stockholm, Globen Arena in the following year. Friends Arena is one likely option to be next year's venue as it is already chosen to host Melodifestivalen next year. This new arena will be completed later this year and it can hold up to 67,000 viewers. It is located in Solna, just north of the capital Stockholm.

Dates for Eurovision 2013 were confirmed earlier this week. The two semi-finals will take place on May 14th and 16th and the final on May 16th.
