Songs for Irish could have been sent until January 16th, from the submissions, two have been chosen for the national final. The entries will be premiered on March 17th and Belgians can vote for their favourite. The results will be announced at Vrienden Van de Veire -tv show.

Iris was chosen internally to represent her country at the Eurovision 2012. The broadcaster saw her videos on YouTube and asked if she was interested in Eurovision. This year, the Flemish broadcaster VRT is responsible for the Belgian preselection.
